A collection of YouTube Shorts of guitar covers for all the songs performed by The Smiths from a show at Markthalle Hamburg 04.05.1984. The show was filmed for the Rockpalast TV show and is an amazing document of the band at their early peek.

I’ve had a few questions about gear/audio I’m using for these shorts so will try to answer here.

The “backing track” is actually Mike and Andy’s performances isolated and then mixed together with the guitar.

For the guitar part I’m using

1. My Rickenbacker 330 JG from the mid 1990s
2. The TH3 Overloud plugin that is built into (comes free with) the Cakewalk DAW:

I’m also adding some EQ on a console bus for the guitar to remove some lower frequencies.
