The last track on the R.E.M. debut album ‘Murmur’ released in June 1983.
The guitar is in standard tuning and as per usual I’ve approached this one based upon the way it was played live. I mainly used this version to transcribe the guitar.
The backing I’m playing over is the isolated drum and bass tracks from the studio recording.
Gear
For the guitar audio the signal chain is my Rickenbacker 330 JG into a JB Nano compressor then a Ampli-Firebox (Clean Deluxe Reverb simulation). The below pic shows the settings I’m using. From that I go into two channels on my DAW with the guitar panned left and right.
