Opening track on the R.E.M. sophomore album ‘Reckoning’ released in April 1984.
I’m tuned down a half-step to play along to the album bass and drums tracks; although in fact it is a few cents sharp of that on the recording, so more like ‘almost’ a half-step.
The backing I’m playing over is the isolated drum and bass tracks from the studio recording.
Gear
For the guitar audio the signal chain is my Rickenbacker 330 JG into a JB Nano compressor then a Ampli-Firebox (Clean Deluxe Reverb simulation). The below pic shows the settings I’m using. From that I go into two channels on my DAW with the guitar panned left and right.
